Shutter fly and the kitties

kitties (what else?)

Woo hoo, it works!

more streaming video...
kitties on the futon
kitties in a basket with the one-eyed girl swatting me away
kitties on my comfy chair

testing, 1, 2, 3

Hmmm... going to see if the following link works. I signed up for a 'freeloader' account at streamload, and drumroll, meet cyclops!

Yes, the one eyed girl.

GO Pfizer!

They matched the entire U.S. contribution for the tsunami.

All 35 million dollars of it.

Take that, oh, moronic president, who what, came back from vacation to make a statement today?
(headshake. that's right, stand up in front of the world and say the UN is misguided. indirectly, but still, any response to being called stingy is never a good one.)

How is it that Spain has offered the most? (68 million)

Yesterday I looked up where Diego Garcia was in relation to India. (The British isle that my brother was stationed at for a year.)

Directly due South - and in middle of no where. The water only rose a foot. Now, mind you, the island was originally created by an earthquake. It's 4 inches above sea-level.

I'm super impressed with how easy flickr is to use and setup. To the far right you will now see the most 10 recent postings I've uploaded to Flickr. They're in absolutely no particular order, as I just downloaded over 6 months worth of digi photos. (It took me a while to find the cord. I moved, and then it got lost. And then, after many, many hours of looking, I found it. Yipee. I didn't upload allll of my photos to flickr, b/c i've already met my monthly allowance. I can't decide if I want to subscribe for a yearly. It's neat, but $41/yr. BUT - they do absorb the hosting cost. Hmph.)

Anyhoo, there are kitties and a few photos of me and charlie. And alison holding fire starter and a beer (during the great BBQ of Astoria). Oh! And Tara/Erin a while back (sideways:) And me seeing a SmartCar for the first time.

This is a test post from flickr, a fancy photo sharing thing.

yum, yum

i just nibbled on some queso colombiano. i tried to find a picture of it online so I'd be able to shop for it, but the best I could do was this. Which of course just put me in a serious craving mood for arepas.

/sniffle/

The cold weather is making my ears cold and bringing on a nightly sniffle.

i think it's time for a bath.

KKKKu

what a fantastic nap. today i learned that sixty minutes spent at graceful services can work magic. and remove serious kinks. there were points i felt like saying,"stop, no, never mind," however I gritted my teeth and breathed out harder. when i got home, i only caught part of Oprah before falling into a deep, deep slumber.

and now the kitties are creating havoc. everywhere. they decided early this week the 3kitchen was too small for their liking. now they're hard pressed8 EERTTTTTTTTTTREEO;IEWFEFHF to pick between climbing mount basket of laundry, my x-mas lights (which they've partially pulled down), keyboard 29pq3847yerihwukdfbji9872198-0 wwer (see?) or performing the feats of festivus strength with each other. "bitter end" is failing me miserably. (it doesn't stick to IKEA bags very well...so my laundry looks like677777gggghhhhhhhhhhocvvvvvvvvv15 large play/nap area to them).

it's really quite entertaining.

ok. time to go feed them little monsters.

spoons

i had opportunity today ot use my swanky new spoons w/built in straws. god bless stainless steel. and for the design company having the sense to make the staws sufficiently wide enough - yet not Macdonald width.

The very first hot chocolate at home (with Kahlua) is such a blessing.

I like my new living room setup. All I did was add the folding screen from my room, and it really helps to divide the living space up. Now I really want a rug.

I've accomplished little except expect to play with the kittens. They're so cute!

Winter weather....the pileup in PA looks awful. 80 vehicles. this is why cars scare me. i like the freedom offered with ownership, but not the highway travel.

moving day

kitties are back in the kitchen. after much thought, i opted for the kitchen area as the 'final' roaming range. yesterday i tried using the bathroom. a) they made an enormous mess (imagine brown mushy food everywhere) and b) they'd be underfoot for all without giving the adults any choice.

so for the evening, they're relegated to the box. the plan seems to be working so far. if i let them explore (read: run like little maniacs) for a bit, eat and poop they fall asleep as soon as the lights go out.

sadly, the large 2 room box was truncated back into a one room abode. the bridge extension is still hanging out...but it leads into the carrier. it was too hard to turn the corners in order to get it into the kitchen in one piece from the living room. who knows, i might be motivated to re-expand but not tonight. i'm pooped. i didn't sleep very well last night, and woke up tired for work. i'm having a hard time adjusting to the heat in my room. i think i'm going to take a sleeping pill to help the process along tonight. or maybe i'll just asleep watching tv. i don't konw.

today was weird. as soon as i got into the office the mean boss to my boss asked for a product demo. she literally salivated when i told her about a side project, saying," I want to get my hands in it and play around." this was quickly followed by," Has Hi-I'm-a-big-moron seen this yet?"

So now I'm supposed to parlay my work into summer schmuck's value?

Not really so inclined or motivated. Particularly as tomorrow is comp day. Which means the already overpaid folks at work are incapable of working the rest of the week. People have been partying since last week. It's absurd.

Sidenote: did you know that kevin bacon is 46?
He's on 60 minutes. He plays a child molestor in his most recent film.

Ok doke. Back to why I turned this computer on. I want to buy boots. But only with a teeny heel. And my calves are too big to buy anything left in the store. That is, anything under the $100 mark.

and so, life is returning to normal

tonight the teeny tiny alien learned how to eat, and the one eye girly bit my finger in eagerness to slop up some more grub.

it is a proud moment when the little ones learn to eat outside of the nipple world.

oh, and i was fortunate enough to watch the gray do it's first number two. yep, some doo doo on my bathroom tile. immediately following that, um, incident, they all learned that flushing of the toilet does not mean immediate death to all. 111111111111DDDDDDDD3ZUH\AAAAAJXX=N (thank you small kitten which just tap danced across my keyboard).

la la la.

i'm so not ready to go to bed. i should be, since i was so tired this morning getting up. but no. i'm wide awake. that's what i get for sleeping in two days in a row for my birthday. (but such fun days they were).

i don't feel 30.
or 30 and 1 day.

I don't feel 30

but I am.

Kind of neat. Excellent weekend. I like Boston.

I enjoy being in my pjs at home a lot. Definitely not in the mood for work tomorrow. Or the day after:) But I should enjoy as it's not clear if my contract will extend into Q1. (I kind of want a break, so we'll see.)

Erin, Livea and I did so many fun things I can't think of all of them. I'm so tired I can't think straight. BUT will try and catch up in here this week. A girl needs time to gloat over her bling, no?

Tiffany's.
Can you believe there's a blue box in my apartment??

Yipee!
