What the hell?

two days and counting

i know we didn't work Monday, but i'm ready for it to be Friday. End of Day.

My plate is starting to get full again at work, and I'm kind of irked by it. Don't get me wrong, it's good to have a challenge to go to everyday...but I need time to figure out what i'm doing next. I sent one (just one) resume out tonight. More for practice than anything else. I also revamped the most recent job description a bit. I think i was too focused on a sub-set of what i was doing for the infamous dutch auction, and hopefully highlighted some of the strategic work.

well, it's a start anyway.

Home Depot is opening in Manhattan Friday.

(I wonder if my mouse shaped sander will be reduced. Hmmm. Must do some online comparison shopping.)

I thought we were done with humidity and the general muggy uncomfortable-ness of August - until today. For the love of frizzy hair everywhere - WHY?

And is everyone else worried the rest of the storm is going to bring much worse? (I think I need a new umbrella.)

Hmph. I had briefly entertained inviting folks out to Queens for an afternoon tea/coffee/cocktail but have already heard of conflicts. It'll be good for me to read, possibly paint (yeah right), and catch up on the girly maintenance needs in stead. I do need to add more color to the abode before folks come over, and really need to do something with the radio/CD player. (It's hidden in a book case. I was waiting to purchase an entertainment piece of furniture before moving it, but have not done either. yet.) plus, i do wantt o hang a host of things in the kitchen, hallway, rooms, etc. I have to figure out which drill bit to use, and what corresponding anchors are appropriate.

hmph. ok. off to prepare for sleepy time. fingers crossed last night's tossing and turning has made me tired enough to sleep like a log tonight.

HEY - almost forgot. My brother is coming to visit in September. Whee hee!
